1. Agreement and scope
These Terms govern access to Furnix UG, use of customer/vendor accounts, purchases made through the marketplace and related delivery, payment and support services. By placing an order, creating an account or selling through Furnix UG, you agree to the terms that apply to your role.
2. Furnix UG marketplace model
Furnix UG may sell furniture directly and may also facilitate transactions for approved independent vendors. Products may include ready-stock furniture, made-to-order pieces, doors, woodwork, office furniture, storage, décor and other home/interior products. The responsible seller or vendor should be identifiable from the listing or order record where relevant.
3. Product information
Furnix UG and its vendors aim to provide accurate photographs, dimensions, materials, finishes, pricing, lead times and availability. Natural timber grain, handmade construction, leather, fabric batches and artisan finishes may create reasonable variations. Material deviations from the confirmed specification are handled through the Returns and Buyer Protection policies.
4. Pricing and checkout
Prices are displayed in Uganda shillings unless clearly stated otherwise. Delivery, installation or special-handling charges are shown at checkout where standard, or separately confirmed where a custom quote is necessary. Before final submission, the customer should be able to review the selected products, quantities, customer details, delivery information, payment method and total.
5. Orders and acceptance
Submitting checkout creates an order request. Furnix UG sends an electronic acknowledgement and may create a payment request. Acceptance for fulfilment occurs when Furnix UG confirms the order, verifies required payment or approves a Pay After Delivery arrangement, depending on the transaction.
6. Payments
Supported methods may include MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, hosted Visa/Mastercard, bank transfer, verified offline payment and Pay After Delivery. Payment is treated as received only after provider confirmation or Furnix UG verification. Customers should pay only using authorised Furnix UG instructions.
7. Delivery, assembly and installation
Delivery timing depends on product type, vendor location, destination, access and whether assembly/installation is included. Customers must provide accurate contact and access information. Large furniture customers should ensure doorways, stairs, lifts and rooms can accommodate the ordered item.
8. Custom and made-to-order furniture
Custom work may require measurements, material/finish approval and a production lead time. Once materials are committed or production starts, cancellation or change-of-mind return rights may be restricted to the extent permitted by law. Defective, materially misdescribed or incorrectly supplied custom goods remain subject to applicable customer rights.
9. Returns, refunds and disputes
Returns, cancellations, defects and refunds are governed by the Refund & Returns Policy, Marketplace & Buyer Protection Terms and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Furnix UG may review order records, photographs, delivery evidence, messages and payment records when assisting with a dispute.
10. Accounts and acceptable use
Users must provide accurate information, safeguard passwords and use Furnix UG lawfully. Fraudulent orders, false payment references, impersonation, security interference, customer-data misuse and misleading listings are prohibited.
11. Intellectual property
The Furnix UG brand, platform design and original site content are protected. Vendors retain rights in their original product content but grant Furnix UG permission to display, format and promote submitted listings for marketplace operation and marketing.
12. Liability and service availability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights where exclusion is prohibited by law. To the extent permitted by law, Furnix UG is not responsible for indirect losses, outages outside reasonable control, inaccurate customer-provided information or unauthorised account use caused by failure to protect credentials.
13. Changes, suspension and governing law
Furnix UG may update these Terms by publishing a revised effective date. Accounts, listings or transactions may be restricted for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance or material breach. These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and parties should first attempt good-faith resolution through Furnix UG support without limiting lawful access to competent dispute-resolution bodies or courts.
Use your order reference where relevant so support can locate the correct transaction.
